Amit Kumar Jain

Amit Kumar Jain is a highly accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in operations management, digital maintenance, and engineering education. Currently serving as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Lecturer in Operations and Digital Maintenance at Glasgow Caledonian University, Amit is also a Review Editor for the Life Cycle Engineering specialty section of Frontiers in Manufacturing Technology. Previous roles include Assistant Dean of Research at Alliance University and Assistant Professor at multiple institutions, where Amit's research focused on industrial asset management and the integration of data in manufacturing processes. Amit holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Operations Management from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, complemented by earlier degrees in Maintenance Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
