Barbara Drigo

Review Editor Frontiers in Microbiology

Barbara Drigo is an Associate Professor at the University of South Australia in the Faculty of Science, Technology, Environment, and Mathematics, and a researcher at the Cooperative Research Centre for Solving Antimicrobial Resistance in Agribusiness, Food, and Environments (CRC SAAFE). Barbara coordinates the Microbial Ecology course at UniSA and serves on the editorial boards for several academic journals. With a passion for plant-soil-water microbial interactions, Barbara has contributed to significant research efforts, leading to $17 million in secured funding. Barbara is recognized as a 2023 Women in Innovation finalist and collaborates with various global organizations to address antimicrobial resistance. In addition, they hold leadership roles including Chair of the Joint Academic Microbiology Seminars and Chair of 500 Women Scientists Australia and New Zealand.
