David Waite is a Senior Scientist at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) since February 2020, with previous experience as a Scientist at MPI from May 2014 to April 2016. David also serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers since June 2018 and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Auckland from April 2018 to February 2020 and at The University of Queensland from April 2016 to April 2018. David completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology/Biological Sciences at the University of Auckland in 2014, following a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in 2010, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences and Commerce in 2009. David's educational background began at Rangitoto College, completing studies there from 2000 to 2004.
