Dele Ogunseitan serves as the Executive Editor for Environment Magazine since June 2023 and holds the position of Distinguished Professor in the Department of Population Health and Disease Prevention at UC Irvine since October 1992. Ogunseitan also contributes as an Expert for UNESCO's Inclusive Policy Lab and serves on Apple's Green Chemistry Advisory Board since June 2015. In addition, Ogunseitan is the Specialty Chief Editor for Toxicology, Pollution and the Environment at Frontiers, a member of the Hoover Medal Board for AIME, an Advisor for USAID's One Health Workforce initiative, and the Director of Workforce Development at UC Irvine Institute for Translational Science. Ogunseitan is the Chair of the Competency Sub-Committee for the Consortium of Universities for Global Health and an Advisory Board Member for UC Center Sacramento. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from UC Berkeley and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, alongside prior degrees in Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University.
