Ellen Moran

Ellen Moran, PhD, currently serves as the Scientific Programme Manager at Retina International since October 2023 and is also a Review Editor for Frontiers in Immunology as of March 2023. With a robust background in research management and quality assurance, Ellen has held multiple roles at Fighting Blindness, including Scientific Programme Manager and Research Manager, from January 2022 to June 2024, and served as the Quality Assurance Manager at Medical Council Ireland from July 2018 to January 2022. Overall experience encompasses a variety of positions focused on scientific management and editing, including roles at the Health Research Board and St. Vincent's University Hospital. Ellen's educational credentials include a PhD in Rheumatology from University College Dublin and a B.A. in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin, complemented by a Certificate in Non-Fiction Writing and Publishing from the Australian College of Journalism.
