Emily Young

Emily Young has over six years of experience in scholarly publishing, currently serving as Publisher (Journal Manager) for the Materials Science Portfolio at Frontiers since February 2017. In this role, Emily manages multiple journals, including Frontiers in Materials and Frontiers in Sensors, while leading a global team and focusing on strategic management, content growth, and collaborative relationships with editorial boards. Previously, Emily contributed to the development of new Impact Factor journals and expanded editorial portfolios through targeted market research. Additional experience includes roles in content writing and editorial assistance across various media companies. Emily holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Birmingham, which includes a year abroad at Wilfrid Laurier University.
