James Hakner

James Hakner is a communications leader with over two decades of experience, currently serving as the Head of Communications at Frontiers since 2024. Previously, James held various roles, including Head of Communications at the Royal Society of Medicine and Head of Corporate Communications at the University of Sussex, where responsibilities included managing corporate reputation and strategic communications. James began their career with a work experience position at Trinity Mirror Group PLC, contributing to the launch of an intranet and writing for the company magazine. James's educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Multi-Media Journalism from Bournemouth University and several qualifications in Public Relations and Internal Communication from PR Academy.
