John McMahon is currently the Director of Innovation and Director of Research and Education at Hawkin Dynamics, with a focus on advancing sport and exercise biomechanics. At The University of Salford, McMahon serves as an Honorary Associate Professor and Associate Professor, leading the sport and exercise research group within the Centre for Human Movement and Rehabilitation Research, while also teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules. McMahon's professional involvement extends to roles as a grant committee member for the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation, editorial board member for MDPI's journal Biomechanics, and associate editor for Frontiers in Sports and Active Living. Additionally, McMahon has experience as an external examiner and has contributed to strength and conditioning in netball through coaching positions. McMahon holds a Ph.D. in Biomechanics from The University of Salford, complemented by a PgCert in Academic Practice and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sports Science.
