Joseph Borg

Joseph "Sci" Borg is a prominent academic and researcher specializing in multi-omics and systems biology, currently serving as an Investigator at NASA GeneLab since December 2020 and as a Full Professor at the University of Malta since August 2010. Borg has made significant contributions to space science, including spearheading Malta's first space mission, Project Maleth, and co-founding Spaceomix to emphasize the relevance of life science research for deep space exploration. In addition to roles as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of Malta, Borg is active in various organizations, including the COVID-19 International Research Team (COV-IRT) and the European Space Agency's Topical Team, while also reviewing content for Springer Nature Group and Frontiers.
