Joseph Esformes, PhD, CSCS, is a Senior Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where leadership is provided for three postgraduate modules within the MSc in Strength and Conditioning programme, alongside supervision of research projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students. As an Instructor and lecturer at Functional Movement Systems since June 2018, Joseph teaches courses on Functional Movement Screening and Corrective Exercise. In the role of Head of Research And Development at FMS Schools Movement, Joseph spearheads a learner-centric physical education programme that integrates movement literacy with strength and conditioning. Additionally, Joseph conducts workshops as a Course Instructor at HNFC, presents advanced strength and conditioning techniques through educational webinars at Quadroathletics, and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Strength and Conditioning and as a Review Editor for Frontiers. Education includes a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
