Lauren Young currently serves as the Head of Program for Peer Review at Frontiers since March 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren held various positions at the Public Library of Science (PLOS) from March 2016 to December 2022, including Senior Editorial Operations Manager, where operational leadership and team management were provided for multiple PLOS journals. Earlier experience includes the role of Managing Editor for the Open Access mega-journal SpringerPlus at Springer Nature from August 2011 to March 2016. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry from The Open University and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds.
