Mel Slater is a distinguished expert in virtual environments, currently serving as Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Kiin.tech since January 2018. In addition to this role, Slater has held the position of Distinguished Investigator at Universitat de Barcelona since 2008 and is the Field Chief Editor for Frontiers in Robotics and AI, as well as the Specialty Chief Editor for Virtual Environments. Slater co-directs EVENT Lab, focusing on Experimental Virtual Environments for Neuroscience and Technology.
