Mohamed Hamdy

Editorial Associate

Mohamed Hamdy serves as a Full Professor in High Performance Buildings at NTNU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering since March 2021 and is also a member of the innovation committee at the Faculty of Engineering, NTNU. Additionally, Mohamed holds the position of Co-leader for Annex 80 (Resilient cooling) in the International Energy Agency, focusing on low energy and low carbon cooling solutions. As a scientific partner for the University of Liège and the University of Luxembourg, Mohamed collaborates on research initiatives. Previous roles include Associate Professor at NTNU, Senior Consultant positions at METABUILD GmbH and ECOGLOBE GmbH, and postdoctoral positions at Eindhoven University of Technology and Aalto University, where research centered on building performance simulation and optimization. Educational qualifications include a PhD and D.Sc. from Aalto University and a Master’s degree from Helwan University Cairo.
