Samik Bagchi

Samik Bagchi, PhD, BCES, is the Director of Innovation at Digested Organics - A Mott Company since November 2018 and also serves as an Editorial Board Member for Frontiers in Microbiology since May 2022. With a robust background in research and development, Samik has held roles including Process Specialist for Water at Black & Veatch, Associate Researcher at The University of Kansas where leadership of the Center for Metagenomic Microbial Community Analysis took place, and post-doctoral fellowships at KAUST and Ghent University focusing on the anammox process and next generation sequencing techniques. Early career experience encompasses research as a Fellow at NEERI and academic instruction as an ad-hoc lecturer at S.K. Porwal College. Samik holds a PhD in Environmental Microbiology from Nagpur University, alongside a Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Right Law and degrees in Microbiology from Nagpur University and the University of Calcutta.
