Sónia B.

Sónia B. currently serves as a member of the Management Board at the Centro de Investigação e Inovação em Educação since October 2023. Sónia holds multiple positions at Politécnico de Coimbra, including Higher Education Coordinator, Coordinator of the Human Potential Development Center, Researcher, and President of the Ethics Committee. Additional roles include Review Editor at Frontiers and Academic Editor for PLOS in domains related to Social and Behavioral Sciences and Medicine and Health Sciences. Sónia coordinates the Social and Human Sciences research group at Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra and is involved as an External Expert Evaluator for the European Commission. As a researcher at the Agency of Trauma Prevention and the Violation of Human Rights - Chuc, Sónia is also a scientific committee member. Sónia's academic background includes multiple degrees in psychology, law, and ethics, with a notable PhD in Psychology from the University of Extremadura and several postdoctoral qualifications in forensic psychology.
