Stephan Kuster

Stephan Kuster is an experienced professional with a strong background in external affairs and policy strategy. Currently serving as the Director of External Affairs at Frontiers since September 2019, with previous roles including Head of External Affairs and Head of Institutional Relations. Prior to this, Kuster held significant positions at Science Europe from April 2012 to July 2019, including Secretary General and Head of Policy. Kuster's earlier career includes experience as an European Advisor at SwissCore and various roles in research and analysis at the University of Fribourg and Accenture, respectively. Educational credentials include a degree from the University of Zurich and involvement with the AESIS network. A brief sabbatical from July to September 2019 allowed for family time and future career planning.
