Stuart MacGowan is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Manager of the Dundee Resource for Sequence Analysis and Structure Prediction (DRSASP) at the University of Dundee, with a focus on the development of tools for protein sequence and structure analysis, as well as collaborations related to genetic variants in skin disorders and COVID-19. Previously, Stuart served as a Review Editor for Frontiers and worked at Trinity College Dublin as a Science Foundation Ireland funded PhD student in Chemistry. Earlier roles include a Laboratory Technician at Ciba and a Pharmacy Technician in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and two degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of the West of Scotland.
