Sujaan Das

Sujaan Das is a highly experienced professional in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as CTO and Co-Founder of Crane Biosciences since April 2022, Sujaan is also a Guest Editor for Frontiers and a member of the EF BE8 Cohort at Entrepreneur First, focusing on innovative gene therapy delivery systems. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Marie Curie Fellow at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, leading research on malaria pathology, and a Research Associate position at the University of Glasgow, where studies concentrated on the P. falciparum actin cytoskeleton. Sujaan's early career involved developing a conditional Cre recombinase system at The Francis Crick Institute as part of an EU-FP7 network. Academic qualifications include a PhD from the Francis Crick Institute, an MSc from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, and a Bachelor's degree from St. Stephen's College.
