Vikas Kumar

Vikas Kumar is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Aquaculture, and Nutrition. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Idaho since November 2017, Vikas specializes in fish nutrition, physiology, and feed processing technology. In addition to teaching, Vikas contributes to the scientific community as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Marine Science, an Editor for Elsevier’s Animal Feed Science and Technology, and an Associate Editor for the Journal of the World Aquaculture Society. Past positions include roles as an Assistant Professor at Kentucky State University, a Post-Doctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Antwerp. Vikas earned a PhD in Nutrition and Biochemistry from the University of Hohenheim, where a primary role was as a Research Scientist.
