Wei Gao has extensive experience in the fields of microbiology and genomics, currently serving as a Volunteered Review Editor for Frontiers since October 2022 and as an Applied Genomics Specialist at Illumina since May 2020. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Researcher at The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity and Postgraduate Research Fellow at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Wei Gao also contributed to research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both The Forsyth Institute and the University of Melbourne, and worked as a Molecular Microbiologist at the Microbiological Diagnostic Unit. Prior experience includes serving as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Austin Health, specializing in routine bench assays. Wei Gao co-founded Nanjing Foinoe Co., LTD and holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Monash University.
