Wei Zhou

Wei Zhou is a seasoned computational research scientist currently employed at The Jackson Laboratory since July 2016, with previous roles as a senior bioinformatic analyst, bioinformatic analyst, and postdoctoral associate. The expertise encompasses computational biology, microbiome, and metagenomics. Additionally, Wei Zhou serves as a review editor at Frontiers since July 2021. Prior experience includes a doctoral candidacy at the University of Pennsylvania from September 2011 to May 2016, focusing on pathogen-host coevolution, protein evolution, and Lyme borreliosis, along with a research role at Fox Chase Cancer Center in protein structure prediction. Wei Zhou began academic pursuits as a graduate student at the University of Tennessee from August 2009 to June 2011, concentrating on bacterial pathogenesis, antimicrobials, and the gut microbiome. Education culminated in a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
