James C. Powell

James C. Powell is a recently retired senior executive with 35 years of experience in commercial lending and investment banking. They served as a Managing Director at Madison Capital Funding and were responsible for leading complex workouts and turnarounds, significantly contributing to the success of several distressed companies. Prior to that, they held key positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Allied Capital, where they structured significant financial transactions and played pivotal roles in board governance. Currently, they serve on the boards of EnviroVac and FRONTSTEPS while advising on strategic financial management. James holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
