Mary Picard

Mary Picard is a seasoned professional in the field of pension law and administration, serving as a member of the Technical Advisory Committee on Defined Contribution Pension Plans at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario since October 2022. Mary has held the position of Trustee and Vice-Chair of The Shepherds' Trust at the Archdiocese of Toronto since May 2017 and served on the Pension Plan Advisory Committee and Pension Plan Working Group for the Accounting Standards Board in March 2024. Additionally, Mary teaches pension plan administration courses at Humber College since 2016 and has been Chair of the Pension Sub-Committee and a member of the Financial Sustainability Committee at Havergal College since January 2013. With a career spanning 40 years at Dentons Canada LLP, Mary specialized in pension law, assisting a diverse range of employers in navigating pension-related issues. Mary holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto and an A.R.C.T. in piano performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music.
