Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
Stuart Wilkinson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles in the financial industry and government sector. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Underwriter at Lombard Canada Ltd. In 2010, they joined the Ontario Ministry of Finance as a Policy Advisor, and subsequently held roles such as Senior Advisor and Executive Assistant and Special Policy Advisor. From 2015 to 2018, they acted as a Senior Manager and Senior Policy Advisor at the ministry. In 2018, they moved to the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and took on the position of Senior Manager, Government Relations. In 2019, they briefly assumed the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Policy before being promoted to Director, Policy (Auto/P&C). Most recently, they became the Chief Consumer Officer at FSRA in December 2022.
Stuart Wilkinson attended Queen's University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. No further information is available about their field of study.
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The agency is flexible, self-funded and designed to respond rapidly to an evolving commercial and consumer environment.
