Benjamin Cheng

Benjamin Cheng, CPA, CIA, currently serves as Managing Director in Investment Administration & Reporting at FTI Consulting since March 2022. Previously, Benjamin held the position of SVP Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy at Webster Bank from 2020 to December 2021 and was Head of Internal Audit for the Finance Division at Freddie Mac in 2019-2020. With extensive experience at PwC from 2008 to 2019 as Managing Director and later as Director, Benjamin specialized in financial markets, providing strategic, financial, and regulatory reporting, and operational consulting to leading financial institutions. Additional roles include Accounting Policy Director at Freddie Mac from 2003 to 2008 and Auditor positions at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. Benjamin began professional experience as an intern at Merrill Lynch and served as a Reservist in the United States Marine Corps. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
