James Rood

Critical Systems Engineer / Data Center & Server Room Designer & Implementer

James Rood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in critical systems engineering and data center design, currently serving at FTI Consulting since October 2005. Rood has designed server rooms and conference facilities across 31 countries and specified power and cooling requirements for server rooms in 104 cities globally. In addition to engineering, Rood has held various coaching roles in lacrosse, including Head Lacrosse Coach at True Lacrosse and the Community College of Baltimore County, where responsibilities included offensive strategy and goalkeeping. Prior to the consulting role, Rood worked as an electrician and project foreman at Brown & Heim. Educational credentials include an IDCP in Data Centers from Marist University and a certified journeyman wireman degree from I.B.E.W. Electrical Training.
