Michael Bates

Michael Bates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate advisory and restructuring. Currently serving as Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting since September 2016, Michael previously held the position of Managing Director. Prior to this, Michael worked at McGrathNicol from January 2005 to August 2016, where roles included Senior Manager, Manager, Assistant Manager, Senior Accountant, Accountant, and Graduate. Michael's academic credentials include a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Master's Degree in Applied Finance from Kaplan Professional, and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Sydney.
