Michael Buffardi

Michael Buffardi is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, a position held since 2019. They previously served as a Senior Attorney-Adviser at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2012 to 2019, where they contributed to significant cases and received multiple awards, including the OCIE Director's Award. Earlier, they worked as a Special Advisor at the US Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and held roles as a Regulatory Specialist and Liaison to the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Michael holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and multiple degrees from American University and Hudson Valley Community College.
