Anwar Akhtar

Anwar Akhtar, P.E., F.ASCE, is an accomplished Chief Engineer at Fugro, where the focus is on Geotechnical Engineering, drawing on extensive experience in Construction Materials Engineering and Testing. Anwar has held multiple leadership roles at Fugro, including Vice President of Testing and Monitoring for the Americas and the Gulf region, as well as Construction Services Manager, overseeing daily operations in the Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Service Line. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Project Manager and Transportation Sector Leader at Terracon Consultants, Inc., and Project Geotechnical Engineer at Ulrich Engineers, Inc. Anwar began academic contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Geotechnical Engineering Department at Texas A&M University, holding both a Master’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution, along with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
