Brett Cooper

Brett Cooper has extensive work experience in the geotechnical engineering field, primarily with Fugro. Brett started their career in 1997 as a Geotechnical Engineer at Foundation & Exploration Services and then joined Fugro GeoServices Limited in 2003 as a Principal Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing various technical aspects of projects, including field data processing, laboratory testing, reporting, staff training, and development. Brett also served as an internal auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 and provided IT support for the regional office. In 2018, Brett transitioned to Fugro GeoServices as a Senior Geotechnical Software Specialist and was later promoted to the role of Principal Geotechnology IT Professional in 2020.

Brett Cooper has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology which they obtained from Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education between the years 1993 and 1995. Brett also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they studied from 1996 to 1997. Along with their academic qualifications, Brett has obtained additional certifications including "Learning REST APIs" and "Programming Foundations: APIs and Web Services" from LinkedIn. Brett is also a Chartered Geologist and a Chartership Scrutineer recognized by the Geological Society of London.
