Cornelius Nel

Cornelius Nel is an experienced ROV professional with a career spanning over a decade in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as ROV Superintendent at Fugro since January 2022, Cornelius has held various roles including ROV Supervisor and ROV Sub-Engineer across multiple companies. Notable experiences include leading ROV operations during a UXO campaign for the Fermosa 2 windfarm project in Taiwan and serving as Deck Supervisor on a Fugro vessel during significant subsea campaigns. Cornelius began the career in 2006 as a Rigger Deck Foreman and has steadily advanced through various engineering and supervisory roles, demonstrating strong expertise in marine operations and project leadership. Education was completed at the College of Cape Town.
