Dan Smith

Dan Smith currently serves as the Offshore Wind Biodiversity Solution Owner at Fugro, focusing on marine consenting and biodiversity monitoring in the Offshore Wind sector. Previously, Dan was the Market Lead for Digital Renewable Energy at Royal HaskoningDHV, where responsibilities included utilizing Digital Twin Software to aid the renewable energy supply chain. Dan also developed the award-winning Ensis software product, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability. With a solid background in engineering, environmental consulting, and project management, Dan has contributed to various initiatives in urban sanitation, humanitarian aid, and coastal management. Dan holds a Master of Philosophy in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cardiff University.
