Igor Dorrestijn has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Igor started their career at Hitachi Automotive Products as a Research Associate. Igor then worked at HedoN electronic developments B.V. as an Embedded Systems Engineer before joining Spyker Cars NV as an Electrical Systems Engineer. Igor later moved to SKF Automotive Innovation & Advanced Development, where they held multiple positions including Electrical Engineer, Project leader, and Innovation Project Manager. Currently, they are employed at Fugro as a Technologist and recently transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer Robotics. Igor is skilled in designing, building, and testing technology demonstrators, and specializes in systems where different technological fields interact.

Igor Dorrestijn holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in control theory from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1993 to 2001.
