Jan de Jong

Jan de Jong is the Geophysical and Geotechnical Department Manager at Fugro, where they have been employed since 1995, initially as a Senior Engineer and later as the Geotechnical Department Manager. They managed data acquisition and engineering at Fugro Offshore Geotechnics from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, Jan served on the board of Schollenpop from 1996 to 2019, helping to organize the free music festival that attracts over 10,000 visitors annually. In recognition of their contributions to the community through the festival, Jan was honored as a member of the Orde van Oranje-Nassau from 2017 to 2022. Jan holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Haagse Hogeschool/TH Rijswijk, which they obtained in 1995.
