John Alden is an experienced oceanographic engineer and project manager with a career spanning over 18 years in the marine survey and metocean operations sectors. Currently serving as the Metocean Operations Lead at Fugro since October 2012, John has held various leadership roles including Metocean Measurements and Environmental Lead and Project Manager. Prior to Fugro, John worked at GEMS International NV from January 2008 to September 2012 as Project Manager and Project Engineer, where responsibilities included managing marine survey projects and overseeing data acquisition. John began a career in metocean engineering at GEMS Survey LTD from October 2005 to December 2007, contributing to significant projects in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. John holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Physical Oceanography and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Oceanography, both from Bangor University.
