John Drost

John Drost is an accomplished professional in electronic development with extensive experience in the design and management of electronic systems. Currently serving as Groupleader Electronic Development at Fugro since September 2012, John oversees the development of probes and data acquisition equipment for soil investigation, while managing the electronic design team and achieving ISO17025 accreditation for the transducer lab. Previously, John held various roles at Pro-face from October 2001 to August 2012, including Expert Engineer, Manager Development, and Senior Hardware Engineer, focused on developing hardware and software for industrial programmable operator interfaces. Earlier experience includes positions as Hardware Engineer at Deltakabel, Lucent Technologies, and Omron Europe B.V., where John specialized in RF front end and digital interface circuits for cable modems and related equipment. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Windesheim, earned from 1990 to 1994.
