Josef Wegner

Josef Wegner is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and system architecture. Currently employed at Fujitsu since April 2024, Josef previously held the position of Lead Software Engineer at HERE from August 2004, overseeing support and on-call groups and integrating the XYZ Hub into the HERE Platform service portfolio as Interactive Map API. Earlier roles include System Architect at Tim-IT GmbH, where architectural design and implementation of a geographical information system for public transport tracking was undertaken, as well as freelance work at Kenwood Electronics Deutschland GmbH, focusing on DTP and manual translations. Additional experience includes positions at free4u GmbH, implementing MySQL database access in Perl, and at S-D-I GmbH, developing an eCommerce system in Perl. Josef holds a Diplom in Informatik with a focus on databases from Technische Universität Darmstadt and completed the Abitur at Adolf-Reichwein-Gymnasium.
