Sango Kana

Sango Kana, P.E., is a registered professional engineer and the Chief Telecommunications Engineer at the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (Telecommunications Bureau). Presently, Sango holds a position as an assistant professor at KDDI Research and is involved in various standardization efforts within 3GPP, IEEE, and ITU. Sango's past roles include serving as a chief wireless engineer at Rakuten Mobile, where they led research and development in wireless engineering, and as a principal infrastructure architect at Tokyo Headquarters. Sango earned bachelor's degrees in Information Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Institute of Science Tokyo.
