Sumito Sugata

Sumito "Sam" Sugata is a Senior Director in the Technology Strategic Unit at Fujitsu's Business Incubation Department, where they lead open innovation initiatives with global startups and develop go-to-market strategies. With over 16 years of experience in sales and business development for major Japanese banks, they have successfully managed projects exceeding $20 million and implemented core banking systems. Previously, they served as a Director of Fintech Open Innovation at Fujitsu Laboratories of America and have held key roles across various Fujitsu entities in the UK, Japan, and the US. Sumito holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and is currently pursuing studies in Design Thinking at Stanford Continuing Studies.
