Tieraona Low Dog, MD, is an integrative physician, author, educator, and founder of Medicine Lodge Ranch: A Natural Medicine Academy. Throughout a 40-year career, they have focused on teaching and practicing holistic medicine, serving as a Presidential Appointee under Bill Clinton and earning multiple awards, including Time Magazine’s Innovator of the Year in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Currently, Tieraona is the Chief Medical Officer at Trilogy Spa Holdings and a Guiding Teacher for the Contemplative Care Fellowship at the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, while also directing fellowships in integrative health and functional medicine. As a founding member of the American Board of Integrative Medicine, they have contributed to national health policy and served on various advisory panels. Tieraona’s published works include titles with National Geographic and contributions to the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.
