Julien LEGUY has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Julien started their career in 2012 at allnex (formerly Nuplex Resins) where they worked on developing isocyanate-free fast drying paint for the automotive industry. In 2014, they joined Arkema and focused on researching self-healing polyurethane coatings. In 2015, Julien joined CNRS CERMAV as a PhD researcher, specializing in the modification and characterization of biobased internally-plasticized thermoplastic polymers. After completing their PhD, they continued their research at CNRS CERMAV as a postdoctoral researcher from 2018 to 2018. Currently, they are working as the CTO at FunCell, where they develop environmentally friendly additives and glues for the reinforcement and functionalization of cellulosic materials.
Julien LEGUY completed their education in the field of Chemistry. Julien obtained their Bachelor's degree in Science des matériaux from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier in 2014. Later, they pursued further studies at Université Grenoble Alpes and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Polymer Chemistry in 2018.
