Gavin Whelan

Gavin Whelan has an extensive career in the gaming and animation industry. Gavin started their career as a Graphic Artist at Funcom in 1995 before moving on to work as a Layout Artist at Filmkameratene AS and Tegnefilm compagniet AS. In 1998, Gavin joined Atari as an Animator/Concept artist, where they worked until 2003. Gavin then worked as an Animator at Reflections Interactive from 2003 to 2004. Gavin returned to Funcom in 2004 and held various roles, including Senior Concept Artist, Assistant Art Director, and Art Director. In their most recent position at Funcom, Gavin serves as the Senior Art Director, a role they have held since November 2020.

Gavin Whelan attended BCFE Ballyfermot College of Further Education from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Diploma in Animation Production.
