Mario Canul Ku

Mario Canul Ku is a seasoned professional in the fields of research, development, and education, currently serving as a Research and Development specialist at Functionize since April 2022 and as a Virtual Teacher at UVEG Guanajuato since October 2021. Previously, Mario held the position of Data Scientist at Grupo Bimbo from February 2021 to January 2022 and worked as an Associate in Research and Development at CIMAT from April 2020 to February 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Data Science Researcher Associate at CIMAT from March 2019 to October 2019. Mario's academic background is distinguished by a PhD in Machine Learning earned from Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas A.C. (CIMAT) between 2014 and 2019, a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Augmented Reality and Pattern Recognition from CIMAT from 2011 to 2013, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science specializing in Computer Vision from Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (2004-2011).
