⍙ Amy Springer

Amy Springer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. ⍙ Amy is currently the Chief of Staff at Functionly, where they have been working since July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Operations Lead at Functionly from May 2019 to July 2022. In addition to their work at Functionly, Amy is also the host of The Org Design Podcast at The Work Design Podcast since February 2020.

Before joining Functionly, Amy worked as a Consultant at their own company, Amy J Springer, starting from May 2019. ⍙ Amy took maternity leave from May 2018 to May 2019 while working as a Customer Success Manager at HealthEngine. Prior to this, they were a Project Specialist at HealthEngine from February 2017 to November 2017.

Amy's professional experience extends to their time as a Senior Consultant at EY, where they worked from June 2015 to February 2017. ⍙ Amy also had a role as a Writer at their own company, Amy J Springer, from August 2014 to 2017, where they focused on content and community management.

Earlier in their career, Amy worked as a Project Consultant at Sci.Aero for a brief period in February 2015. ⍙ Amy also had a significant role as an Advisor - Organisational Effectiveness at Rio Tinto, where they managed and coordinated organization design projects. ⍙ Amy started as a Graduate at Rio Tinto in January 2011 and worked there until February 2014.

Amy's academic background includes a role as an Honours Research student at the University of Western Australia in 2010, where they conducted extensive research on soil analysis. Prior to that, they held the position of Chair/Executive Officer at the Faculty of Natural & Agricultural Sciences at the University of Western Australia from 2008 to 2010.

Amy Springer has a diverse education history. In 2007, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia and pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Environmental Management and Botany, completing it in 2010. During their time there, in 2008, Amy also attended the University of Vermont, focusing on subjects such as Policy and Law, Rehabilitation, Statistics, and Geotechniques within the field of Environment.

In 2017, Amy participated in the altMBA program, specifically AltMBA14, which centered around "Making change happen." Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Amy partook in Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops in 2023, earning a POD Certificate. However, the end year for this program is not provided.

Amy has also obtained several certifications to further their skills and expertise. In 2012, they completed a Strategy Boot Camp with McKinsey. Additionally, they received a Senior First Aid certification from St Johns Ambulance in 2012. In 2013, Amy became a Certified Power User through Yammer. Furthermore, they obtained a Shine From Within Youth Mentor certification from Shine From Within in 2016. Also in 2016, Amy earned an Evernote Community Leader certification from Evernote Corporation. Lastly, in 2022, they obtained a Notion Essentials Badge from Notion.
