Lawrence Black

Lawrence Black has extensive experience in various leadership and investment roles. Serving as a Board Member for both the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority and the Greenville Revitalization Corporation from 2020 to 2024, Black has actively contributed to community development. As Managing Director at Mindful Ventures since 1998, Black has co-founded and supported over 50 startups, achieving recent successful exits with companies such as DraftKings and Straighterline. In addition, Black holds prominent positions as a Principal at Civic Holdings, a Founding Member of NextGen Venture Partners, and a Venture Partner at both WealthForge and StraighterLine, showcasing a strong commitment to innovation and economic growth across diverse sectors. Previous experiences include Board Director roles at Waterview Office Towers and Projecto Honduras, and involvement with the Supreme Court of the U.S. and U.S. House of Representatives.
