Patrick L.

Patrick L. has over 20 years of experience in various IT roles. Patrick started their career in 1995 at Strategic Simulations, Inc. as a Systems Technician II, where they maintained computers and networks for a computer game company. Patrick then worked at VXtreme, Inc. as a System/Network Technician, providing support for laptops and desktops. In 1997, they joined Kiva Software as a Systems Administrator and later moved on to Extreme Networks as an IT/Network Administrator. At Extreme Networks, they oversaw network growth and implemented VLANs.

In 2000, Patrick joined SAN Valley Systems, Inc. as a Sr. Network Administrator, responsible for UNIX and Windows servers as well as network connectivity. Patrick also worked as a Technical Marketing Engineer, conducting interoperability testing of IP and FC hardware and software.

Patrick then joined IP Dynamics as a Sr. Network Engineer in 2002, where they managed the IT department and administered servers running Solaris 8. Patrick also handled corporate backups using Veritas NetBackup.

In 2003, Patrick began working at VMware and held various roles including SAN Certification Engineer, Sr. Techops Engineer, Lead Techops Engineer, and Staff Techops Engineer. In these positions, they designed and built storage environments, expanded fiber channel networks, and planned data centers and labs.

From 2014 to 2016, Patrick worked at PernixData as a Sr. Technical Operations Engineer. Patrick supported internal services and deployed and configured storage arrays. Patrick transitioned production storage within a year.

Currently, Patrick works at Fungible, Inc. as an IT Manager.

From 1992 to 1994, Patrick L. attended San Jose State University, where they studied Computer Science and Information Technology.
