Julia Gibson

Julia Gibson is a seasoned writer and project manager with extensive experience in editorial management and creative content production. Currently serving as a Senior Writer at Funkhaus since April 2022, Julia has also held the position of Music Editor at DUM DUM ZINE since October 2016, focusing on the Los Angeles independent music scene. Previous roles include Project Manager at Facile Dermatology + Boutique, Junior Editorial Manager for theSKIN, and various editorial positions at L.A. RECORD, Girlboss, USC Annenberg Media, Lipstickparty Magazine, and as a Publicist & Editor for Powerstorm ESS. Julia holds a Master of Science in Journalism from the University of Southern California and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Literature and Creative Writing from California State University, Long Beach. Julia's educational background is complemented by an Associate's Degree in English Language and Literature from Orange Coast College.
