Philip Ting has a wealth of work experience, beginning with a role as a Paralegal in the International Capital Markets Department at Allen & Overy in 2007. Philip then moved to Skrine in 2006, where they served as a Pupil-in-Chambers in the Corporate Division. In 2008, they were a Registered Foreign Lawyer in the Corporate Department at Richards Butler in association with Reed Smith LLP. In 2010, they became a Founding Partner at Philip Ting & Kwan. In 2015, they took on the role of Managing Director at Clearbrook. In 2018, they became the Head of SEA and Founding Partner at FunNow. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Legal Advisor at Tomo Medicare Sdn Bhd.

Philip Ting began their educational journey in 1994 when they attended KTJ Primary Secondary Academia Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, where they received their high school diploma after completing O-levels and A-levels. In 2000, they graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor's Degree in Law. In 2004, they obtained a Master's Degree in Law and Accounting from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Philip also completed the Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School in 2004 and was admitted to The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn as a Barrister at Law in the same year. In 2006, they obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA, Level 1) from Kaplan Financial. In 2007, they were admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor to the High Court of Malaya. Finally, in 2008, they were admitted to the New York State Bar as an Attorney-at-law.
