Xavier Liao has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Xavier started their career in 2004 as a Web Developer at bctechnology.ch, where they developed cloud computing systems and Oracle solutions. In 2010, they became a Strategic Advisor at China Productivity Center, where they coordinated government-led industry upgrade initiatives.
In 2012, Liao joined Funwish corp. as a Project Manager, leading two government-subsidized image recognition projects that transformed into successful location-based e-commerce apps. This led to the growth of Funwish corp. into Viscovery Pte., where Liao served as a Product Lead from 2014 to 2015. Xavier led a startup team that developed a cloud-based visual search SaaS service and defined Android/iOS SDK specifications.
Liao went on to co-found Angelook in 2015, where they led the development of two mobile applications using streaming recognition technology. Xavier also played a role in business development, establishing partnerships with top surveillance manufacturers.
From 2017 to 2020, Liao worked at AsiaYo as the Head of Product Management. Xavier conducted systematic analysis and data analysis for product enhancement, leading to improved conversion rates and user experience. Xavier also worked as a Senior Technical Consultant, proposing system architecture and introducing database solutions for system stability and scalability.
In 2020, Liao became a Digital Product Manager at 鈶榘集團_格上汽車租賃股份有限公司, where they led the development of the Go Smart App and achieved significant user growth and improved online booking rates.
Most recently, Liao joined FunNow in 2022 as a Senior Technical Product Manager. In this role, they conduct systematic analysis and data analysis for companies involved in business mergers and acquisitions. Xavier also develops integration and migration plans and collaborates with cross-functional teams for seamless consolidation.
Xavier Liao completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Tamkang University between 1998 and 2002. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Management Science & Finance, specializing in Operational Research, from the University of Southampton from 2008 to 2010.
