Sergio V.

Sergio V. has a diverse work experience in software development and network administration. Sergio is currently employed as a Software Engineer at FunXtion International BV since February 2021. Before joining FunXtion International BV, Sergio took a career break from 2018 to 2021 to explore and work on their business ideas in the field of building a SaaS business around Software Automation Solutions. During this break, they focused on development using Python, C++, and Semantic Technologies.

Prior to their career break, Sergio worked at TechTribe from 2011 to 2018 as a Software Developer. In this role, they collaborated with UX/UI Designers, Frontend Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and Clients in an Agile Development environment. Sergio built applications using technologies like PHP, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Varnish, Memcached, Nginx, and Apache. Sergio also gained experience with web application frameworks such as CakePHP, Symfony, SpringBoot, and Apache Wicket.

Before TechTribe, Sergio worked at AccelCloud and Azavista as a Software Developer from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, they worked at SIMAVE S.A. from 2009 to 2010 as a Linux Network Administrator, where they were responsible for setting up LAN in an enterprise environment using open-source tools like Samba, LDAP, and Linux distributions.

Sergio V. completed their education at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Ingeniería Técnica de Telecomunicaciones, Telemática, specializing in Telecommunication Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Sergio V. has also obtained three certifications in the field of computational investing and machine learning from Coursera in October 2017. The certifications include "Computational Investing, Part I," "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach," and "Machine Learning: Regression."
